Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you will implement components of patient care, gather data related to treatments, and collaborate directly with the supervising Physical Therapist (PT) to modify care plans as necessary. Our patient demographic spans all ages, from newborns to end-of-life care, requiring exceptional adaptability and clinical empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Therapy & Support: Assist the Physical Therapist in treating patients through targeted stretching, exercise regimens, and mobility protocols (including balance training).
- Collaboration: Review and execute instructions from the supervising PT, working dynamically as a team to support patient progression.
- Patient Transitions: Safely move and transfer patients from wheelchairs, walkers, or assistive devices to the physical therapy treatment area.
- Family Education: Communicate effectively with families and caregivers to identify and teach the best at-home care and therapeutic techniques.
- Environment Upkeep: Maintain a clean, sterile, and highly organized physical therapy clinic workspace.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle essential front-office duties as needed, including scheduling patient appointments, managing intake data, and filing medical paperwork.
Job Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is required.
- Prior experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or a dedicated Skilled Nursing/Rehab setting is required.
- Licensure: Must hold an active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license. (Valid state licensure or a valid Compact License is accepted).
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Compensation Policy: Applications must align strictly with the posted pay structure; requested rates exceeding the maximum bracket will not be reviewed.
