Job Title: Long-Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse – Contract Assignment

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, patient-centered Long-Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse for a full-time contract assignment. In this role, you will perform essential nursing duties to assist the clinical team in the treatment, recovery, and daily care of patients in accordance with established medical methods and procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of patient- and family-centered care, maintaining professional excellence and strict adherence to facility scheduling to advocate for a vulnerable resident population.

  • Job Type: Full-Time, Contract

  • Clinical Setting: Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility (On-Site)

  • Scheduling Accountability: The facility maintains high standards of operational reliability to protect patient care continuity. Complete dependability regarding attendance and prompt shift arrival is required.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Background

  • LTC Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of active, full-time experience as an RN in a Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing environment [Required].

  • Core Competencies: Proven proficiency in geriatric nursing care, medication administration, care plan implementation, and patient advocacy.

Licensure, Certifications & Compliance

  • State Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan [Required]. Credentials must be fully active and verified at the time of application.

  • Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].

  • State Compliance: Prior completion or current possession of active Michigan LTC Fingerprinting clearance is highly valued and accelerates the onboarding timeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality treatment, monitoring, and daily clinical care to long-term residents under the general direction of the Department Manager, Director, or Charge Nurse.

  • Collaborative Support: Partner fluidly with staff nurses, clinical leadership, and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) to ensure standard facility protocols and exceptional care benchmarks are met.

  • Patient & Family Experience: Consistently foster a positive, supportive care environment by treating residents and their support networks with empathy, dignity, and cultural respect.

  • Clinical Accountability: Maintain detailed, compliant, and accurate electronic health records tracking patient baselines, medication distribution, and therapeutic responses.
