Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Rehab/SNF
We are seeking a dedicated and clinical-focused Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders, developing comprehensive plans of care that adhere to the highest clinical standards.
This role requires a clinician who utilizes evidence-based practice and standardized assessments to drive meaningful patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care: Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders; adjust treatment plans based on progress and outcome effectiveness.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic records, including treatment minutes and discharge summaries, in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Communication: Provide professional counseling and consultation to patients, families, and caregivers. Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Collaboration: Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings.
- Leadership: Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates or SLP students as needed.
- Compliance: Adhere to all ASHA and State practice acts, ethical guidelines, and codes of conduct.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of SLP experience; Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) experience is required.
- New Grads: Candidates with Level II clinical experience (not just observation) will be considered.
- Licensure: Active Missouri State License (Compact allowed) is required.
- Certification: Must hold a current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- 3 years of experience as a CCC-SLP is preferred.
