Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cardiovascular / Interventional Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic clinical imaging team. In this role, you will provide critical technical support for a wide array of sophisticated diagnostic and interventional procedures. Serving both inpatients and one-day outpatient populations, you will work closely with cardiologists and radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging, optimal patient safety, and seamless procedural workflows.
Position Details:
- Job Type: Full-Time / Contract
- Clinical Setting: Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology Laboratory (On-Site)
- Patient Population: Comprehensive inpatient care and one-day outpatient surgical services.
Core Service Line & Procedures:
As a core member of the lab, you will assist with a diverse procedural mix, including:
- Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization and Coronary Angiography.
- Peripheral Angioplasty (with or without stent placement).
- Venography and specialized non-vascular interventional procedures.
- Permanent and temporary Cardiac Pacemaker insertions.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience & Clinical Background:
- Cath Lab Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current, dedicated Cardiac Catheterization experience [Required].
- Cardiac Care: Previous advanced cardiac clinical experience [Preferred].
- Interventional Radiology: Prior Interventional Radiology (IR) experience [Preferred].
Licensure & Certifications:
- Primary Registry: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential is Highly Preferred, though active ARRT certification will be considered [Required].
- Life Support Certifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications [Required].
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrub in and assist physicians during complex cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular, and interventional radiology procedures.
- Prepare, operate, and troubleshoot highly specialized imaging equipment and physiologic monitoring systems within the lab.
- Maintain a sterile field, handle sterile equipment, and closely monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data throughout interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, and mid-levels—to ensure rapid, efficient care during elective procedures and emergent cardiac events.
