Job Title: Computerized Tomography (CT) Technologist (Travel / Contract)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and independent CT Technologist for an exciting travel contract assignment. In this role, you will perform a variety of complex CT procedures utilizing clinical ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing all routine diagnostic procedures, establishing intravenous access, and prioritizing daily workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Shift Details:
  • Hourly Pay Rate: Competitive Contract Rates Available.
  • Overtime & Holiday Multipliers: 1.25x the base rate.
  • Orientation: Includes 8 hours of non-billable clinical orientation.
  • Schedule Policy: No block scheduling will be considered for this opening.

  • EMR System: EPIC EMR
  • Dress Code: Professional personal scrubs (any solid color; no designs, cartoons, or hoodies).

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience & Background:
  • CT Experience: Minimum of 1 year of dedicated CT experience [Required].
  • EMR Proficiency: Direct, hands-on EPIC EMR experience [Required - Please highlight on your resume].
  • Clinical Skills: Confident and proven contrast injection and intravenous (IV) access experience [Required].
  • Equipment Knowledge: Prior operational experience with GE scanners [Preferred].
  • Travel Experience: Previous or current healthcare travel contract experience is strongly encouraged.
  • Logistics: Candidates must possess their own reliable vehicle for this assignment [Firm Required].

Certifications & Licensure:
  • Professional Registry: Active ARRT (CT) Certification [Required].
  • State Licensure: Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License [Required - Must be active at time of application].
  • Life Support: Current American Heart Association BLS Certification [Required].

Pre-Employment Training & Screening:
  • Must have completed or be willing to complete verbal de-escalation/crisis prevention training from an approved organization (e.g., Welle, CPI, or PMCS) prior to onboarding clearance.
  • Ability to clear a standard comprehensive pre-employment health and background drug screening.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, monitor, and operate specialized CT equipment to perform routine and advanced diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Screen patients, review medical histories, establish intravenous access, and safely administer contrast media following strict clinical protocols.
  • Prioritize, organize, and manage daily patient workflows to ensure optimal department efficiency.
  • Maintain exceptional image quality, adhere to strict radiation safety practices, and communicate effectively with radiologists and the broader clinical team.
