Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable General Ultrasound Technologist for a full-time travel contract assignment. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a diverse patient population spanning all age groups. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in general imaging protocols, comfortable working independently, and ready to contribute to efficient clinical operations from day one.
Compensation & Contract Details
- Job Type: Full-Time, Travel Contract
- Shift Schedule: Standard shifts as assigned by the facility; scheduling accommodations are not available for this contract.
- Overtime & Holiday Multipliers: 1.25x the standard contract hourly rate.
- Orientation: 0 hours non-billable orientation (fully billable from your first hour).
- Logistics: Candidates must possess their own reliable vehicle for this assignment. Local housing resources and flyers are available to assisting clinicians upon placement.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
Experience & Clinical Background
- Ultrasound Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of current, dedicated General Ultrasound experience [Required].
- Patient Demographics: Proven, documented experience imaging patient populations across all age groups (pediatric through geriatric) [Required].
- Employment Status: Candidates must be contract/travel clinicians.
Licensure & Certifications
- Primary Registry: Active ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) registration [Required].
- Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Required].
- State Licensure Pathway: * Active state Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (MIRT) licensure is [Required] in hand at the time of application.
- Licensure Exception Note: Candidates who do not currently hold the target state MIRT license must hold a current, valid, and equivalent imaging license in New Mexico, Oregon, or North Dakota to qualify for an immediate expedited temporary state credential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic general ultrasound examinations safely and accurately, tailoring techniques to meet the physiological needs of patients of all ages.
- Maintain excellent image documentation, annotate anatomical findings precisely, and present clear diagnostic data to interpreting physicians.
- Navigate and manage patient records efficiently within the facility’s electronic health systems while maintaining strict confidentiality guidelines.
- Ensure optimal operation of ultrasound machinery, maintaining clean, stocked, and sanitized workstations in alignment with standard infection control measures.
