Job Title: Computerized Tomography (CT) Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to coordinate and participate in all computerized tomography scanning procedures. In this role, you will set up, monitor, and operate complex, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. Highlighted Candidate Requirements:
Experience & Background:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of dedicated X-ray OR experience [Required].
- Traveler Experience: Previous experience working as a traveler or contract professional [Preferred].
Certifications & Licensure:
- Professional Registry: Active ARRT registration maintained in accordance with regulatory agency requirements [Required].
- Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification / CPR [Required].
Key Responsibilities:
- Imaging Operations: Set up, calibrate, and monitor complex CT equipment; perform daily quality control checks and ensure necessary equipment repairs are completed.
- Patient Care & Positioning: Safely transfer and position patients utilizing proper lifting techniques and immobilization devices; obtain pertinent medical history and document known allergies.
- Contrast Administration: Properly prepare and intravenously inject contrast media for examinations following established physician protocols; monitor patients closely for allergic reactions or medical emergencies.
- Data & Image Management: Handle all electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and archival processes to maintain a permanent patient file.
- Safety & Compliance: Provide strict radiation protection to yourself and patients in accordance with standard safety regulations and public health guidelines.
- Departmental Support: Maintain a clean working environment, manage clinical inventory supply levels, assist specialists during advanced radiological procedures, and help instruct new personnel.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in departmental quality assessments, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and data collection.
