Job Title: General Ultrasound Technologist – Travel / Contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing optimal ultrasound examinations and specialized imaging procedures in an efficient, precise, and safe manner to facilitate diagnostic clinical findings for physicians. The ideal candidate will possess robust, well-rounded sonography skills and a proven ability to manage high-volume patient workflows with minimal supervision.

Position & Contract Details:
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Travel / Contract.
  • Clinical Setting: Diagnostic Imaging Department (On-Site).
  • Logistics: Fully billable hours from day one. Note: All requested time off (RTO) must be explicitly outlined at the time of initial application to guarantee facility approval during the contract assignment.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience & Clinical Background:
  • Ultrasound Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of current, dedicated Ultrasound/Sonography experience [Required].
  • Patient Demographics: Solid, documented clinical experience working across all patient populations, which may include neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients [Required].
  • Technical Autonomy: Strong diagnostic sonography skills and a proven, successful history of working independently in rapid clinical environments [Required].
  • EMR Systems: Previous operational experience charting within the Epic electronic medical records platform is [Preferred].

Licensure & Certifications:
  • Primary Registry: Active, unrestricted registration through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) [Required].
  • Life Support: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) [Required].

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound scans and procedural image captures accurately and safely, optimizing equipment configurations based on specific target anatomy and safety standards.
  • Patient Care: Provide compassionate patient care across all lifecycles, adapting positioning and communication techniques to fit diverse age brackets and acuity levels.
  • Workflow Autonomy: Manage the assigned diagnostic schedule, prepare imaging rooms, and ensure clinical operations run efficiently without direct supervisor intervention.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain clean, detailed patient records, annotate clinical findings accurately, and route scans smoothly to the interpreting physician (ideally utilizing the Epic platform).
  • Compliance & Quality Control: Adhere to strict professional guidelines, uphold patient privacy standards, and maintain fully updated credentialing document tracking including current skills checklists and supervisory references.
