Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced X-Ray / CT Technologist for a temporary contract assignment in the Bad Axe, MI area. The technologist will perform diagnostic X-ray and CT procedures in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings while providing safe, high-quality patient care.
Weekend & Call Requirements: Every 3rd weekend (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | No on-call requirements
Shift 12-Hour Shifts (Primarily Day Shifts 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, with at least one Night Shift 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM per week)
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, emergency, and specialized X-ray and CT procedures.
- Operate digital, mobile, and bariatric-capable X-ray and CT equipment.
- Process and transmit imaging studies through PACS for radiologist review.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain positioning, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Follow radiation safety and imaging protocols.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, emergency department staff, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Prioritize imaging procedures based on patient needs and clinical urgency.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in both X-Ray and CT – Required
- Active ARRT registration – Required
- AHA BLS Certification – Required
- Experience performing imaging procedures in hospital or acute care settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment.
- Previous travel or contract assignment experience.
- Recent specialty skills checklist.
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts.
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
- At least one night shift per week.
- Every 3rd weekend.
- No on-call requirements.
